After many years and a very large number of satisfied LPG conversion customers, Go LPG have only one claiming to be unsatisfied - Mohammed Asan Khan. A couple of 'hangers on' have materialised in the 3 years that the campaign has been run, but that's what you would expect in a smear campaign. Part of it's purpose is to trawl the interent, the perpetrator hoping to gather more smear material. In today's 'Claim and Blame' culture it seems that every Bus involved in an accident had 10 more passengers than it could possibly carry, all of them claiming to have some indefinable injury or other. Martin Imber is just such a person, we'll discuss him later, but for now it is clear that Khan's hope of collecting more negative material has been a complete and unmitigated failure. That's simply because there aren't any unsatisfied Go LPG customers and they have no complaints to make.
An unhappy Go LPG customer is so rare that you might think the person making the complaints is himself unusual, and you'd be right. Mr Khan is a very unusual person indeed.
Mohammed Asan Khan is the self styled 'Administrator' and site owner of the lpginfo.co.uk website. Khan has gone to unbelievable lengths to create that website, intended for one purpose only -To promote his carefully contrived smear campaign against Go LPG, Romano, Autogas Worldwide and the LPGA (now UK LPG).
The alleged 'forum' part of the 'lpginfo' site is no more than a shell, a parody of real, genuine forums whilst the claim of 'Unbiased Autogas' is a an utter joke. There will be much more about that later. For now, it might be useful to consider what some of our customers have said after seeing Khan's site. The most frequent comment is that Khan's internet behaviour shows what a difficult and unreasonable person he was as a customer. Many of them think that Khan is mentally disturbed.
Khan's claims don't add up.
Just take a look at the vast amount of help, advice and information the go-lpg.co.uk website gives free to any reader. It is one of the largest and most informative Automotive LPG resources available on the interent and used as a reference work world-wide. An even greater amount of free help and advice has been given to people with LPG problems on the lpgforum.co.uk website over the last 6 or years or so. A person with that much knowledge and experience simply cannot be the kind of person Mohammed Asan Khan attempts to describe.
To conduct his lpginfo smear campaign, Mohammed Asan Khan uses manufactured 'evidence' mixed with a large amount of distraction. It is all Smoke and Mirrors. The whole thing is the product of spite and malice that only an unbalanced mind can produce. It most certainly isn't the action of a normal, rational 25 Year old. Khan could be out enjoying life instead of sitting up all night on his computer, excecuting his his 'revenge.' He could have given his employers their money's worth by doing more useful things in their time. Now that Khan is unemployed the Devil makes more work for his idle hands, his wasted talents. Perhaps he'd be better off going and getting a life.....
So why has Khan waged this smear campaign, what is his motivation?
Let's look at the facts first -
Khan's complaint to Birmingham Trading Standards was not upheld
Khan's complaint to the LPGA (UK LPG) was not upheld
Khan had so little confidence in his own alleged complaint that he wouldn't refer it to the Small Claims Court. This is something he could have done very easily and cheaply.
The answer to the Khan riddle is simple when you have the facts (which haven't been publicly available until now). Khan did it simply because he couldn't get his own way when trying to force us to continually attend to problems with his car (not the conversion itself), and to make us upgrade the conversion to match his later performance enhancements (commonly called 'Chipping'). This work was not part of the original job. When he failed to make Go LPG meet his increasing demands we referred him, quite properly, on to the UK suppliers of Romano equipment, Autogas Worldwide. Sadly they came to the same conclusions as we did and refused to do any more work for him after his second visit. He then targeted the equipment manufacturers Romano and Autogas Worldwide but was stopped in his tracks when they threatened to sue him. Khan also failed to get the LPGA(now UK LPG) bow to his will and he then began using the internet to damage the reputation of all involved. For this reason, Mohammed Asan Khan was banned from using the lpgforum.co.uk website not once, but twice when using different aliases.
To summarise;
Khan was banned for using the LPG Forum, not once, but twice.
We at Go LPG grew tired of Mr Khan's behaviour and quite properly referred him on to the UK suppliers of Romano equipment, Autogas Worldwide.
Staff at the UK Supplier Autogas Worldwide had seen enough of Mr Khan after two of his 'Cry Wolf' visits and asked him not to return.
The LPGA investigated Khan's claims throughly and found no basis for his complaint.
Mohammed Asan Khan isn't acting alone in this campaign. There is a lot more going on behind the scenes. It is clear that he has the backing of an LPG equipment supplier (Alternatech) with a commercial interest in discrediting its competitors, Romano in particular. The (then) principal of that company, David King, holds a huge grudge against Romano, largely because they have refused to supply him with their equipment in the past. They took this step, against their need for sales because of King's poor workmanship during installation. (This fact can be checked with Romano). King has assisted Khan in his Smear Campaign in every way possible, demonstrating behaviour that may not be expected from a professional.
Khan is also being aided in his campaign by some of the less professional installers in the business. One of them shares the grudge against Romano although his work in the past has been shown to be well below the required standard. The same converter holds a grudge against Go LPG for condemning an installation we didn't know was his until we recommended his company for a servicing of the new system we installed.... The car's owner told us that he wasn't going to him for servicing as he was responsible making a mess of the conversion, and his car.
It is ironic that when using such underhanded tactics in the pursuit of their personal and short term gain, these people are harming their own businesses by bringing the whole conversion industry ito disrepute. People researching or considering LPG conversion see this miserable, unprofessional behaviour and avoid the whole idea. Much business is lost by the Automotive LPG conversion industry and the true scale of damage is impossible to measure.
The latest round of Khan's campaign (his website) began in late August 2007 which coincided with a particularly difficult time in mine and my Wife's lives. Amongst the other difficulties that life can throw at all of us, both of my Wife's Parents (82 and 84) have suffered long illnesses, her Father needing a lot of major surgery. Her Mother cannot drive and therefore could not visit him. Although we live some 35 miles away, we are the closest of their relatives. We are pleased to help and support them by providing anything they need. During such a time, Khan and his miserable rants have naturally not been important to either of us. Now I now have some time to deal with Khan. It is way past time that Khan's claims were balanced by the facts, the truth.
There won't be any stupid cartoons, no cheap tabloid journalist tricks, lies or deceit. There will cold, hard evidence provided by real and legitimate documents which will be backed up by contact details for anyone to check their validity. When that has been done, and unlike Khan, I'll simply invite readers to examine the facts, talk to the people who actually dealt with the matter quite a long time ago, and then make their minds up for themselves. What this website won't do is to tell them what to think, what to believe, it won't deal in a bunch of twisted half truths.
To begin that process, I think that the following is a good place to start;
Just consider these facts and ask yourself why this is so;
Mohammed Asan Khan hasn't been able to convince any authority (Trading Standards, The LP Gas Association, his Credit Card Company or any Court) that he had a valid claim of any kind against Go LPG, Romano, Autogasworldwide or the LPGA.
Why is that?
It could be that Khan had no valid complaint.
It could be that instead of accepting those judgements like any normal person would, Khan decided to take things into his own hands and produce his spiteful website. The fact that it contains claims based on simple but quite deliberate misrepresentation of facts extending right up to blatant lies indicates that he had no real case and had to make it all up as he went along. Most of the 'evidence' provided on the Khan website is just that, made up, fabricated. Soon, that will become quite clear.
The 'Breaking News' additions to Khan's site refer to a recent Small Claims Court hearing brought about by a person who bought our own ready-converted Jaguar car from us and was not ordinary conversion business. The Judge had no option but to order us to take the car back and refund the money on a point of Law - All the consumer needs to do under current legislation is to say he 'Rejects the Goods' within a reasonble time frame and that is what must happen. He doesn't even have to give a good reason. Motor Traders all over the Country have suffered the abuse of this Law many times although they have done nothing wrong and the customer himself is at fault, often by simply changing his mind or having it changed for him by others. This person had simply changed his mind about buying the car after he had paid a deposit. When he found that deposits are lawfully non-returnable he came and collected the car so that he could simply reject it later on and get back his money, including the deposit he would have to forfeit otherwise.
This person lives some 250 miles from Khan. Khan lives in Balsall Heath, inner City Birmingham, the car buyer lives in Dorset. The two men would never have met in ordinary life, they live so far apart and belong to quite different social groups.
David King of Alternatech quickly put the two in touch. The fact that the car was converted with Romano equipment satisfied another chance to exercise his grudge. Khan then went to the lengths of encouraging the car buyer to take his claim to Court although he had owned the car for some eight months. Khan then helped him present his 'case' by giving him free advice from his own Solicitor and later helped him create fraudulent documents and reports which were submitted to the Court, then simply taken at face value. One of them was a fraudulent LPGA 'safety check' provided by an Alternatech / Prins installer, alleging LPG leaks existed when they did not, although we were not given any opportunity to challenge this claim by being able to have our own, independant engineer's report before the hearing.
An interesting development is that the man who bought the Jaguar from us, Mr Owen Davies has since apologised to us for having Khan involved in the case. Being a normal, honest person, Owen Davies is so appalled by Khan's Smear Campaign that he has produced his own website to set the record straight.
Mr Davies' website can be seen at www.lpgtruth.co.uk
Even in the midst of this heap of typical Khan negativity, we can draw some positives. Khan told me a long way back that he was 'Going to teach me a lesson'.
He has been successful. After being cheated in this way I decided that no car, whether sold to or converted for a customer is going to leave us without a signed declaration that firstly the LPG leak test equipment has been tested and then a leak test has been performed on the vehicle, showing that there are no LPG leaks.
No-one else is going to be able to pull the stunt that Khan and his pals pulled on us that day.
I advise all other installers to do likewise.
Why did Khan turn up in a case that had nothing to do with him?
Khan has made much of having to take time off work in the past, but found it easy to be present at a hearing that had no connection to him. He tried to get his website smear material introduced but the Judge was having none of it and threw it all out.
Is this normal, rational behaviour?
It is for someone like Khan.
Khan went to all that trouble just to get some more 'Dirt' to spread around the internet.
Nearly three years after he had his conversion done (March 2006) Khan persists in smear tactics, harrassment and persecution to the point of lunacy.
Later, the full story of this case will be told, backed up by truthful and factual evidence. For now, it is interesting to note that the Jaguar Mr Davies bought passed an MOT test on Petrol and LPG just 3 hours after it was delivered back to us. It was no surprise that no LPG leaks existed in any position, as claimed or otherwise. There were no MOT fail points of any kind which demonstrated, some 8 months later, that it must have been in a safe and roadworthy condition at the time of sale.
Sadly, ill treatment like this is something that anyone judged to be a Motor Trader in the eyes of the Law, even at a minimal level, has to put up with at some time.
What is coming.......
When I have time to waste on such a negative subject, readers of this site are going to be able to find out a lot about Mr Khan, a person who has so many skeletons in his cupboard that he can no longer keep the door shut.
Keep visiting and find the truth about Mohammed Asan Khan and his claims.
